We Spent the Last 3 Weeks Testing 16 Heated Vests to Find the Warmest and Most Comfortable Option for 2026

Whether you're hiking in chilly weather, commuting in the cold, or just trying to stay warm without bulky layers, a heated vest can make all the difference. These battery-powered garments are designed to deliver focused warmth while giving you full range of motion and breathability.

But not all heated vests are created equal—some heat unevenly, have poor battery performance, or feel stiff and uncomfortable.

That's why we tested 16 of the most popular heated vests—judging them on warmth, fit, battery life, comfort, and durability to see which models actually deliver long-lasting warmth with a sleek, wearable design.

We ranked the top 5 based on the following:

Heating Performance
We measured how quickly and evenly each vest warms up, including which heating zones are covered (chest, back, neck, etc.) and how well they maintain warmth in colder temperatures.

Battery Life
From all-day hikes to quick errands—we tested the battery endurance on low, medium, and high heat settings to identify vests that won't leave you cold halfway through your day.

Comfort & Mobility
Unlike bulky jackets, vests are meant to be light and flexible. We assessed how each vest fits over or under clothing, and whether they're suitable for everyday movement.

Weather Resistance
We evaluated whether the outer material is water- and wind-resistant, helping you stay warm and dry even in unpredictable weather conditions.

Style & Design
We considered how each vest looks and whether it can blend into casual, sporty, or professional outfits without looking like a gadget.

After three weeks of hands-on testing in real cold weather, these are the 5 heated vests that truly stood out in performance, comfort, and style.

Mivo Heated Vest
Overall Grade
A+
Rating
9.8/10
9.8 rating

Mivo Heated Vest is by far the best heated vest for this winter.

The first thing that separates it from any other vest is smart temperature control which allows you to choose between 3 different temperature levels based on your needs or occasion.

You might want to use a different temperature when you're going to work compared to when you're out skiing. It does make sense, right?

It has 11 different areas of heating – 3x more than average heated vest.

This ensures that every part of your body is heated evenly and that you don't feel cold even a little bit. I believe this is a very advanced feature and probably no other brand can compete with it.

Besides that, it has long-lasting warmth.

You can get up to 12 hours of quality heating while wearing the vest, which is perfect if you're working 8 or 10-hour shifts because you won't have to worry if it will stop heating in the middle of your work. You can use power banks to have even longer heating time.

It's made from waterproof and breathable material. Although you'll be heated throughout the whole day, you still won't sweat which is great especially if you're wearing it to your work.

Mivo offers a 90-day money back guarantee, so you can wear it for whole winter and if you don't find it amazing – you'll receive a full refund.

TIDEWE Men's Heated Vest

B+
Rating
8.8/10
8.8 rating

TIDEWE's Heated Vest was a close runner-up to the ARRIS Heated Vest. While it doesn't boast as many heat settings or spots on the vest, our testers loved its ease of use, battery location, and quick heating capability. They also loved the versatility of the vest. "The design was very neutral, that I can see myself wearing it anywhere," a tester said. "You can use it as an everyday vest to go to work, get groceries, go shopping, or even if you're going out with friends."

Like the ARRIS, our testers enjoyed the lightweight and comfortable vest, making it ideal as a mid or outer layer. "It was not bulky or tight. You can even use it when running for sure," a tester reported. "You can also use it as a stuffer underneath a heavier jacket." We also love smart features like including a power bank to charge other devices while you're on the move.

Dr. Prepare Electric Heated Vest
Overall Grade
B
Rating
8.3/10
8.3 rating

Dr. Prepare's Heated Vest is an excellent deal as you get a similar performance to other more expensive vests for a smaller cost. Our testers enjoyed how quickly the vest heated and the lower back heat sections. The vest boasts six separate heating areas and three temperature settings.

There were a few drawbacks to this vest. A battery pack didn't come with the vest. We were able to use a battery pack from one of the other vests we were testing, but it was an inconvenience. The placement of the battery pack pocket was also next to the ribs, and the vest ran a bit small, so we suggest sizing up, especially if you plan on wearing layers underneath it.

Foxelli Men's Heated Vest
Overall Grade
B
Rating
7.8/10
7.8 rating

Foxeli's Heated Vest was a favorite among our testers. The setup and heating were super simple and quick. While our testers say the heating works best around the neck and upper back, they thought it was warm enough elsewhere. "I love the design of this vest," a tester said. "The battery pack also has an extra charging port so you can charge your phone at the same time. The zippers are easy to use, and the battery is placed in a convenient location that isn't annoying—you don't even know it's there."

Because of the puffer style of the jacket and removable hood, our testers saw this vest as more of an outer layer than a mid-layer. "I like the idea that the vest can replace a jacket, and it's puffy and feels like a pillow," a tester reported, noting they could see this jacket as ideal for anyone spending long amounts of time outside at sporting events or doing yard work.

CONQUECO Men's Heated Vest

Rating

7.5 rating

This versatile heated vest from CONQUECO is lightweight, comfy, and could work as a mid or outer layer. Our testers found this jacket very easy to use right out of the packaging and enjoyed how quickly it heated around the neck and back. While the vest doesn't have as many heating areas, we love that it's waterproof and windproof.

Our testers didn't like the power button's placement inside the jacket or the size of the battery pack. But the versatility of the jacket made up for those nitpicks. "The vest is lightweight and comfortable, and it does not have a bulky feeling," a tester reported. "One can wear this under a larger-sized fleece or winter coat."

WHAT IS HEATED VEST

The term "heated vest" refers to a battery-powered vest that is mainly designed for cold-weather sports and activities. Unlike traditional vests, it can warm you pretty quickly and remain warm even when the batteries are empty.

Benefits of Heated Vest
No more "freezing" feeling
Better circulation
No need to wear double layers of clothing
Quickly heats your whole body
Can be worn for whole day
Suitable for any occasion
Great for our outdoor work
Affordable
Things To Consider WHEN CHOOSING THE BEST Heated Vest
Adjustable temperature
In most cases, you won't need the same temperature when you're driving compared to when you're doing some outdoor activities. When you can switch between different heat settings, it makes heated vest suitable for any occasion.
Long-lasting warmth
What's the point of having heated vest if they can heat only up to one hour? Always try to look for vests with at least 8 hours of lasting warmth because you don't want them to stop heating when you need them the most.
Multiple sizing
If the brand is saying "one size fits all", they're most likely lying and you won't feel comfortable wearing it. Everyone's body is different, and always check if it's true to size.
Waterproof & Breathable
If you're planning to use it for outdoor activities, waterproof design is a must have. You don't want your batteries to die just because a bit of water dropped on your vest. Breathable material prevents you from sweating while still remaining warm and cozy.
Warranty
If the brand doesn't offer a money-back guarantee or warranty on their vests, you should stay away from it. Always look for something you can try out and receive a full refund if you don't find it useful.
What To Avoid When Choosing Heated Vests
One area of heating
One area of heating simply means that the vest will heat your arms only or your chest only. Always look for vests that have multiple areas of heating to ensure you'll never be cold.
No battery pocket
If the vests doesn't have a battery pocket it means that you will have a hard time carrying batteries with you. Go for inside pockets if possible or just look if it has casual pockets.
Cheap knockoffs
There are a ton of cheap products (even on Amazon) that are just pure garbage. They aren't even tested and they'll just waste your time and money. In my opinion, anything below $100 can't be functional.
